Years ago, my ff mentor and good friend, David A. of Gainesville FL, introduced me not only to the art of flyfishing but also to the vast library of flyfishing literature. One of his favorites was What the Trout Said by the late Datus Proper.

When I visit my Foscoe shak, I always make time to sit on the porch and read some angling literature. I just completed his last book, Running Waters. Upon completion I reflected about my own personal flyfishing journey, the days before I was a proprietor of the gear, the days when I was basically a tb. God, I really miss those days. I know, prioritize.... i suck at it.

It is a collection of essays..... a collection that I highly suggest to all..... real good reading by a gentleman who unfortunately passed a few years ago doing what he loved, flyfishing.
