We went to scout the Laurel before DH opened. Driest I have ever seen it. Went with Robert and we caught a few decent fish. A lot of chubs, a few smallies, Rob got a left over nice Brown and a 14" carp. Pretty good scouting trip.

Around these parts the Watauga is down lower than I've ever seen it too, but there's still plenty of water to hold fish there.  In fact, it even looks like it'll be easier to fish without all those crazy deep holes.  Should be a good opening weekend, but I won't be anywhere near the place.  Even if I wasn't tied up, I'd go hit some tiny blue line instead of fight all those crazies! ;D  I'm sure I'll get around to terrorizing the stockers pretty soon though.

Tight lines,
