Was on my meds Tuesday nite and called a buddy to go fishing in the a.m. (glad I remembered to get up!). We took kayaks and headed upstream against the dropping water. They were going to generate 1 again in a few hours, so we got upstream and fished a few hours. He was hitting 'em pretty good, I was not. I landed a couple of nice bows before the water started to rise. I cast again and watched my indicator go under. I set the hook and my line didn't move. Shit, a log or something. All of a sudden my line started moving upstream, but I still didn't see my indicator! I knew then I had a nice fish on. I played him (or he me) for about 5-7 minutes just hoping not to lose him. I finally saw him and was awestruck by his colors. My bud took a couple pics and the beauty was released unharmed.

We crossed the river and pulled into a little cove for some sammiches and to let the pulse get by us. There was some pretty scenery where we decided to eat and wait.

Eventually we headed further upstream when the flow slowed. During the afternoon my luck was much better and I was treated to some beautiful feeshies. One brownie thought he was a tough guy and pulled me around backwards in the yak. He wasn't that tough!

An excellent way to skip a day of work! I called Kyle while I was eating my sammich and he, hyde drifter, and maniac were having lunch themselves. I bet they weren't smiling like me! A couple more of the feeshies...

My son: My dad has two fish on his car and they're both trout!

The object of life is not to be on the side of the majority, but to escape finding oneself in the ranks of the insane.
