Whitewater River?

I am looking for some information on the Whitewater River in NC, above the large falls. I am looking to find out what type of hatches are going on? What type of water is it, pocket water, riffles, pools, all of the above? Am I looking at small fish, 6-8" or larger 12-14"? Any information would be great as I am heading up there sometime in the next two weeks. You can PM if you wish to not have the information posted on an open forum.
