Couldn't Stand it.

I had not been fishing all week and it was the middle of April. My plan had been to fish at least twice a week. It was windy; the water temp. was 49 F; and the water was clear. Luckly, there were breaks in the wind so that ever so often you could get the fly to land where you wanted it to.

I was fishing the Smith and caught only three. The biggest was about 9 inches. There were several other hooks ups that were brief. I was fishing a streamer and it was a lot of fun to see them chase the streamer and take it. On several occasions, they were chasing the streamer and I had reached the end of my arm and that short break was enought to send them scattering.

All in all it was a great day and it helped me to get the "bug" out of my system so that I could sleep good last night.
