I posted this elsewhere and got exactly zero responses, which is troubling in itself.

NB:

The best we can do is make sure to push the issues with our congressman, make alternative fuels a top priority.
Also push for tax relief for company's and business's that save and conserve energy. In order to change the mindset of CEO's, you have to show them a benefit to the profit margins.

I think this can be accomplished; it just takes the right negotiating terms.

Energy and fuel are the two largest factors contributing to the problem of thermal pollution.
Then I would help keep streams from being deforested; this is probably an immediate solution on a lesser scale.
