Did one of those floaty mcboaty thingies on some new to me water in Bumblefuck, Lesser Carolina.  Most SC directions imaginable: drive 120 miles on the fucking interstate, get off on 21, drive 10 miles and turn left on the dirt road.  Typical.

Life everywhere when I pulled up to the ramp.  Shad, kingfishers, herons, a big ol Murican bald eagle (soaring free and obliviously unaware that our retard President was even then plotting something...retarded).  The crash of a surface eat in the distance sounded the siren song of possibility.

Then the sun came up and really did its thing for the first time all year and kinda fucked shit up.  No matter.  We push through.  Fish were found.  Fish were caught.  Most were nosed up hard into the whitewater rips.  A good time was had by all.  Except the stipey girls, I guess.  They were like, "What the fuck man?!!"

Cool.  I worked on a couple projects down that way a few years ago and considered floating that river.  I'm 99 percent sure I know the spot. I will refer to it as the upper striper beat located out in the middle of nowhere. Too far for me, but I'm glad to see someone doing a TR.  This would be a great place for a group striper gathering.

Not an upper beat as it were.  At least, not within this section.  Maybe a longer float than ideal for a group function
