Onslow

A 42 minute drive was made to a random undesignated section on a river I frequently fish, but just not here. I fished it once back in the 90s, and floated it as a back up a couple years ago.

The drainage size is about 50 square miles and the flow was probably about 40 cfs.

It's tough to point > point wade this one due to lack of access.  I simply waded downstream throwing a streamer for 1.3 miles, then nymphed back up.

The habitat generally was unproductive.  There appeared to be redds within productive bends.  I may have seen an 8" trout which is a good sign of reproduction.

I had a hit from a 17-18 incher, then caught this weird looking brown later.

A couple stones were flying.  Hoping for better luck tomorrow.
