New Access

[Onslow]

I was hoping to fish Saturday and enjoy the warmth. However, my SIL decided to show up Friday for a funeral and lingered through Saturday. I had to play host since my Wife is a bit under the weather.

Wading is something I try to avoid.  It seems to tax the knees.  I wanted to float a trout stream, but the water was too low.

Headed down to near Moncure to fish a river I had not fished yet this year. A new access point has been established. Made the long 2 hour haul.  Paddled up the river almost three miles. Fished a little.  No crappie, no pickeral.  I did catch one 14" largemouth.

I did not paddle down to Lockwood dam.  It is supposed to  be removed soon.

I paddled up the Rocky River a bit as well. The lower river looked like hell. Sheets of growth.
