#24 -- 67, 68, 69 clear skies -- chilly nights, warm/hot days

I was scheduled to spend Thursday through Sunday at the 49th PFF at Victoria's on the banks of the South Holston river, but our TU chapter had schedule the IF4 film festival and I needed to support it because I was partly responsible for getting them to host it.

The films were entertaining and there were plenty of door prizes and raffle prizes, I "won" a trip to "River Bound" this is private leased water in southwest va. I've not heard of them before, but I'm down for a day of pig farming. The trip is for 2 so one of you might be coming along for the day.

I got off to a late start on Friday as I headed of to the camp, arriving at 12:45 ish, too late to catch a floaty bote ride. The wheels on the damn were spinning so there wasn't much fishing time. One of the changes to the river is that all of the Rock Hold section is now Purple Painted, No Tresspassing, off limits. I couldn't believe it, so the next morning I drove on donw to check it out, sure enoughall of the property is posted and or purple painted. What the fuck!  n!n

I should have fished Big Springs, but went back to camp to fish the midge hatch on the still water, while Fred and Jfey fished the riffle run up top. I coulnd't buy a fish, while Darrell whacked a few on miniscule flies.

Later John wanted to float down to Big Springs and Ralph said he'd row, so I went along for the ride. We caught a few fish as we threaded our way through the dozen or so boats on the water.

Food and comradarie was great, it was good seeing all the guys and I look forward to the next one in the spring.

Sunday, they weren't running water till one, so I jumped in and hit the upper run, I caught a handful of trout before heading home.

Anyway here is my photo dump from the weekend.

Because I have common sense, ok
and unfortunately, a lot of people don't.

Great fun for sure plus it did not rain, nor was there a tornado or hurricane this time! The all day
nearby police stakeout only added to the adventure ( fortunately no PFFers were arrested)

I wish I'd been in camp to hear Victoria tell the whole story...
