#25 -- 46, Gas $2.90, hazy to bright sun with scattered clouds, and thunderstorm or two over the ridge.

Without any significant rain over the last week or longer, the river has dropped out to 1100 cfs, it was low and clear. We got off to a good start with a quick shuttle run to the right (left side) ramp at Riverside, putting the float at 8.5 miles, instead of our usual 13.5  <-;: .

Rhody flubbed 2 or 3 hookset right off the bat as I rowed and Onslow was trying to get some action from the stern seat. After a spell we swithed seats, putting Onslow on the sticks, and I brought the first smallie to the net. We banged the banks and took fish here and there. Putting Rhody in the captins chair we bumped on donw the river. The pace was slow on the surface, I swithed up to a streamer and setteled on a small clouser, which attraced a number (9+) small fish to attack it, only a few made it to the boat. Onslow caught a coupld of nicer fish and towards the end of the float Rhody got a good one too. We didn't take a lot of photos, but here is what the day looked like.

and unfortunately, a lot of people don't.
