Onslow

I've not felt much satisfaction with the recent fishing trip.  With the threat of severe weather looming, a thought popped in cranium regarding a good stream with a short and sweet segment.

I pulled myself together and slinked off into the woods after a 50 minute drive.  The water level was juicy and the temps were damn cold.

Hooked a little wild brown right at the place where the state dumps rainbow stockers and the action was decent for duration of the three hours on the water.

My, what a silly fish.  So I stung the fish twice, hooked the fish and lost it, stung the fish again, missed a bite, then finally hooked and landed it. Perhaps the fish had a mate, but never in my life had I've witnesses such hangryness and aggression over something I was drifting.

Wish I had a creek like that as close by. Good on you!

When fishing, a person ought to carry a flask of whisky in case of snakebite. Furthermore, he ought to also carry along a small snake.
