Al

First of all, I feel like I should reintroduce myself because I haven't posted much since my life took a turn almost 4 years ago. I'm still alive but starting to feel my age (almost 86 now). I saw Keith at the recent Smith River TU meeting and promised I'd make a post - maybe even chime in more frequently, so here we go.

About two weeks ago I received a text from Tom Dougherty, one of the best and most prolific fly tiers I know.                                                                                                                                                   He said he was tossing all his "rejects" and wanted to know if I knew anyone who would like them?  "Hell yes", I sure did. Tom had contacted a couple other folks who said the same thing, so he divided them up and sent me several hundred. I'd asked for mostly warm water flies because Smith River TU is holding a couple fly fishing clinic later this year. Tom's flies will come in handy when the participants go the nearby bass/bream pond to put their new skills to work. We'll also make up a few fly boxes as raffle prizes at our SRTU meetings.
THANKS TOM!  He's what Tom's rejects look like

When fishing, a person ought to carry a flask of whisky in case of snakebite. Furthermore, he ought to also carry along a small snake.

Woolly Bugger

it was good to see you at the TU meeting!  :cheers
Because I have common sense, ok
and unfortunately, a lot of people don't.
