Woolly Bugger

looks like a pretty nice day to be on the water... :drum
Because I have common sense, ok
and unfortunately, a lot of people don't.

Onslow

Called on ole fishing bud over the weekend about fishing.  He wanted to float one of my local streams which happens to be a long run of almost 10 miles. Monday morning came and the weather had gone wet and the radar coverage looked ominous.  We opted to float a shorter section on the Yadkin that generally fishes good.

The water was clear in Elkin, but turbid 11 miles down.  The catching was terrible. The Kentucky Spots have been on strike all year for me. Caught 4 smallies but none of any size. The largest one was caught right in the middle of heavy riffle/shoal run in shallow water and caught it ripping a streamer across it.

If the Kerr Scott releases over 400 cfs this time of year,  the water quality will not be satisfactory.
