When we protected Worthville Beach and 152 acres of land downstream in 2017, this was the long term vision: A river access point designed for public use which would kickstart the development of a blueway along the Deep River.

And after the hard work of many, last weekend we all celebrated the official opening of the Worthville Road Boat Access in Randleman, NC. This area also features a sandy beach along with an old mill and dam (which are privately owned).

This is the first public access point along the Deep River in Randolph County, but more are in the works - next up is an access downstream at Central Falls!

And the icing on top was that it was during #NCYearoftheTrail! We'd like to tip our caps and give a big congrats to everyone involved in making this vision a reality!

Find this spot at 1427 Worthville Rd, Randleman, NC 27317.

Drove by there last week. I heard some chatter a few years ago about carp being caught at worthville dam.
