It's a little early for fishing this stream, but it's been killing me to see what stage the wildflowers were at.
And had the fish woken up? And how low was the water?

Water was low. 52 degrees, though.

Trillium, blue bells, blue cohosh, etc were days/a week away from getting good.

Feesh were slow to bite. No top water action.
Some bugs starting to emerge.
Lots ready to start.
Mayflies and roach stones below.
Lots of caddis found also.

Wood Anemone

Skunk Cabbage.

Dead Shit For Keith.

Searsucker Sedge in bloom.

I'll be harvesting ramps soon.  :Dance

Nothing of any size, pitiful numbers.
Fun had, just poking around on an 82 degree day.
I'll be wet wading on the next trip?
Do a rain dance, folks.

 :cheers

I'm telling you man, trout fishing has fell off a cliff in my world, and in this case, ours overlap.  Things are about to get much worse for trout.

2023 will be an epic bass and carp year. Enjoy the bloom this Spring, and move on.
