More dead artist videos....

I had not been on a small stream in 2 months.
We got hot, we got really dry. Quick like.
But, we got treated to regular thunderstorms last week.
Then a kind visit from Fred. Sorry, NC.
I wanted to head to this stream last Friday, but situations conspired against me.
Went down yesterday and hoped for decent flows.



Gaiters. I was prepared for the nettles.





Water temp was 63, levels were good, not great.
The Rattlesnake Plantain Orchids were past prime. Just like me.



Fished the old Scott 7' 3wt glass I got from Muddy.
I like this rod. A lot.

I was not whacking them. A fish here and there.
LDR'd the best 2 fish of the day. No slam.
But it was good to wet wade and fish in the shade.
Good blood pressure day.

Good stuff. I've got an old Scott graphite in the 7 3 weight. It's a sweet rod also.

Still suspended. Need a lot more rain and cooler temps before they open it back up. That part of VA has missed a lot of the rain we all have received and they honestly should of shut it down a month earlier then they did. Lots of FB reports of people fishing it on 90+ degree days with poor water conditions.
