Gas $2.05

Snuck off Friday morning to raid Doug's playground and mess with his fish. I was the fourth car there but before I got geared up three more pulled in.

Stuck with the same fly still rigged up on the 3 wt., a royal wluff. Might have had better luck with a green weenie but it's too much fun catching them on the surface.

Had to leave early so I started fishing about ¾ of a mile in and up to the first bridge. A few more trees were blown down, some very recently.

On the way out a young hiker stood off the trail to let me pass and then a group of 6 put their masks on – new normal.

Six mostly different cars parked at the trailhead. Dude pulled in and asked about the fishing, he walked in carrying two spinning rods...

First fish...

played around with the live photo mode and it's effects... but didn't do it correctly with the remote. but I learned how to import frames from a movie and then combine them to achieve a long exposure effect...

I'm curious about the orange shrooms as well. I have seen some that look like that near home

Browns are getting active........

Btw, I'm one of the, apparent, minority that has no clue what stream that is........

Woolly, I half of your photos are A- quality, and half are F-quality. Overall report = C...... but don't despair. If you are on the UNC grading scale, your grade becomes 'PASS'.

I was born by the river in a little tent,
And just like the river I've been running ever since,
It's been a long, long time coming,
But I know change is gonna come.

You mean if I collected about 2,500 of them I could have made a meal?

Special place for me, as I witnessed my son catch his first wild trouts on "Clayton's Little Crick" thirty some years ago.

Clayton was a colleague and friend of mine and use to live on the main branch of "Clayton's Crick" just upstream of where it goes under rte.8. Took my son up to fish for fresh stockers behind the house one day, and when we found it blown out, Clayton introduced us to his little crick with the little but much prettier trout. 😁

My son never developed an interest in stream fishing, but I go back up there periodically

to refresh old memories.❤️ Now and then, I even take a rod.

Yep. They don't have much flavor, though. I like the little cinnabar chants, though.
