No more weekend shit. Too many amateurs out there.  p;-

Had grand plans for today. Up a creek section I hate to go alone. We can do this 6'+ apart. No problemo.

Asshole #1 had last minute kerfuckele.

Backup asshole could not fit into my narrow, assholery schedule.

So I went alone. And I amended my daring plans. I suk.

There was much flora to distract?! Took much more plant pics vs. fish.

Started early, so started dredging the bottom.

I was catching pretty regularly. Missing some, too.

Bug action was very limited. This stream is slow to start.

Skunk Cabbage was far along. Other stuff, not as much as I was expecting.

I hoisted about thirty feesh. Nothing to brag on. Heavy on the brookies, though. Threw a dry for a while to scratch that itch. Caught a handful, but I went back to the more productive nymphs. Hit the stream point of no return and bailed back downstream. My phone had blow up when I got back to coverage. Thank you, world.

I was home in time to do some work work. Then I cut the grass. Killed some dandelions. Took a garden walk with my sweetie. Spent some quiet time in the blue garden with the stream running, chilling cats, singing birds, beautiful flowers all around and glasses of wine. The show must go on.

:cheers

I was on the local today and most of the wildflowers have petered out. A few spring beautys. The daisy's and corn flowers were blooming in the fields.

ex - I'm not going to live with you through one more fishing season!

me -There's a season?

Pastor explains icons to my son: you know like the fish symbol on the back of cars.

My son: My dad has two fish on his car and they're both trout!

Phil

Mayapples and brookies. Nice!  'c;  'c;

Weekend fishing has gotten a little nuts on the more well known small streams from what I've been hearing.  Unfortunately I'm still working and with a wife who is going stir crazy with kids, even my weekend outings are limited.  Coronavirus needs to git.

Thanks for posting the flora pics.  This only happens once a year, and as each year goes by, we're all closer to that awful threshold wherein such jaunts in the charmed woodlands are simply not feasible.

Some go to the the Holy Land, some go to Rome, and some go to Mecca.  I will always be drawn to woods when life springs forth.

One nice thing when I'm deep in there by myself. I see more. I saw stuff coming on. I saw wild lilies. Lots. Lots of false solomon's seal, yellow mandarin.

And Disporum. Lots. It moved. Going back next week to check on the progress. A good 4 mile walk is a bonus.
