Flower ID ?

I notice the roadsides in Rockingham County, NC seem to have more color this year than I can remember. Lots of yellow flowers. I've seen some Goldenrod, but not sure what this other bright yellow one is.
Figured some of you folks would know. Also, is it a native wildflower or something planted along the roads by the state?

Bidens spp. AKA Spanish needles/beggarticks. Those are the ones that produce those little two-pronged stickers that get in your clothes. They're native. The ones with the showy flowers are less common than the ones with inconspicuous flowers, but still pretty common and widespread. My pasture is full of them.
