Not sure how this will effect this region but it looks like we may have access to some new areas - Now try not to screw it up with litter or obnoxious behavior

True, I don't see this affecting most of us.  A lot of expanded hunting where hunting already is allowed.  As for Virginia's Harrison Lake, I believe some fishing is already allowed.  So, label me a skeptic!  Is this an administration PR move, a nugget to sidetrack?  Is there a hidden strategy to hasten other activities, like mining, logging, etc., on Federal lands?

<North Carolina
Currituck National Wildlife Refuge: Expand hunting hours for existing migratory game bird hunting and expand method of take and bag limits for existing big game hunting on 3,610 acres to further align with state regulations.
Edenton National Fish Hatchery: Formally open to sport fishing for the first time.
Mattamuskeet National Wildlife Refuge: Expand season date ranges for existing big game hunting to further align with state regulations and offer youth hunt on 7,811 acres.

South Carolina
Orangeburg National Fish Hatchery: Formally open to sport fishing for the first time.

Tennessee
Cross Creeks National Wildlife Refuge: Open coyote and beaver hunting for the first time on 8,180 acres already open to other hunting. Expand method of take and season date ranges for existing big game hunting to further align with state regulations.

Virginia
Harrison Lake National Fish Hatchery: Formally open to sport fishing for the first time.>

The news of this new opening of Federal lands to hunting and fishing is damned interesting.  I have difficulty trusting an ex oil and gas lobbyist.  It seems many outdoors folks have a giant chubby over the new opportunities, but it is going to take more than this alfresco Viagra to get me hard.

Potential alarming news abounds.

Should we believe?  Should we be concerned?  Should we place liability on the roughly 63 million of our friends and neighbors that had their heads firmly implanted in their asses back in 2016?
