The N.C. Council of State on Tuesday approved the state’s purchase of the Carter Falls property near Elkin with intentions of leasing it to Wilkes County government as a county park and feature of the Mountains to Sea Trail.

ex - I'm not going to live with you through one more fishing season!”

me -There's a season?

Keith, Elkin and Jonesville will be hosting an NC Trails event the first weekend in June.  This is the first activity of this type for our area. You should stop by.  There will be Revolutonary War stuff taking place on the OMVT, mountain biking, kayaking on he Yadkin, vendors on main street...I live on w main, triathalon.  Should be some shows lined up at the Reeves Theatre downtown also.  Booze is served there.

Carter Falls is a cool place to visit when the water isn't dingy.  It doesn't require much hiking.  The falls is unique for the foothills, and is much larger than the pic indicates.
