the desisgn of this knot is use the upper tag to help prevent tangles associated with nymphs on tags.

Lately been lazy with triple surgeons.

Have used tag of blood knot too.

have done drop shot type knots to tie inline to hook eye.

Can make a big no slip mono loop and cut it so one 'end" is the top tag" the long 'end' of loop is the dropper tag.

The worst way is tying to the bend, espc barbless; sorry Doug.

It's trout. Come on. 3-4wt nymphing specific rods don't put out gobs of power. I'll take the perfect 90 degree droppers and take my chances.
