I couldn't let this bout of nice weather pass me by without taking advantage of it, so I played hooky and went out yesterday.  It was sunny when I left the house, but I rolled through some fog and light rain as I went north.

I wanted to try some new water way up near the parkway.  I see one of you had already been there.

The air temp was around 60 when I arrived, but the water was still frigid.

After 30 minutes or so, I decided to head down to the other side of the parkway and hit a smaller, lower elevation stream I hadn't fished before.  This ended up being the ticket.  I ended up with about 10 to hand, and lost almost that many.  I had a few takes on the dry, but most were taken on the top nymph of a double nymph rig.

This guy slammed the nymph.  I thought he was going to be much larger.
