It used to be easy to post reports and photos on here. Not sure if your new system is going to go back to those days but one of the reasons you don't see much from me anymore is it is a pain to post - probably because I don't understand how b'; but maybe due to things not being very user friendly.

If you have the Tapatalk app, it only takes a couple touches of the screen on a smart phone to posts all the photos you want. If you need more detailed instructions just let me know. I'll help.

That's assuming you take fishing pics with your phone. Tapacrap is not an option from a camera.
Phones are for the lazy. (I'm including me.) And you are less likely to pull it out and risk ruining it.
And yes, I know the new Iphones are waterproof. Still tough to use one handed.
I'll use my waterproof camera and go through the extra steps. Just for you assholes.  n!n :;! -0- :banana072:

Tapatalk may be beneficial to have if frequenting poor quality boards.  The reason I frequent this place is because I can post edited pics without using apps.  Apps are so 2013, and so are the handheld device wars.

Mobile devices are ruining kids.  They see no value in email, and fail to understand email still dominates in the adult/professional world.  It is a war to get the little effers to use desktop email instead of the infantile snapchat, and all the other kiddie platforms.  Solution?  by the small fry a used Thinkpad laptop, and turn them loose on designing graphics, and 3D printing, hacking, code writing.

Not so much.

I never take fishing pics with my phone and I've posted thousands of pics here via Tapatalk in just a minute or so. Many digital cameras now have WiFi options which directly transfer your pics from it to phone. Then, as stated, all you have to do is touch your screen a couple time and they're here for all to see.

Wait a minute, though. I'm going to all the trouble of taking pretty fish pics, downloading them, posting them here, and then you guys are looking at them on a little frigging CELLPHONE? Jeeze. Never mind.

Most cellphones have higher pixel counts than most computer screens (unless you have an expensive one)

My Gen 1 Oly is old school. Cables and shit. I'm old school. I like my synthetics and technology in general, but...
Wah wah pedals, Holley carbs, hand tools, oars, block and tackle, slow cooking, push mowers, and fiberglass rods rock.
Like Ken, I like to edit from my laptop. Plus, I then have them on my external hard drive. No sketchy cloud.
I can enjoy my pics when I'm old and drooling.
And I'm close to that.   p;-

All this is moot, unless this latest version of SMF and tapatalk recognize Russian and are compatible with Russian technology.

Maybe so, but most cellphones have a 2.5"x 4.5" or  3"X5" screen.... Hey! Look at my tiny little fish pictures!  b';

Computer Sales are way down, kids don't use them for anything, they live on their phones. Get with the times....

The general banter and back and forth here is generally viewed on my phone's screen. The salivation worthy reports and photos I largely save for a full-sized screen such as my work desktop — for full effect.

Whew. Good to know.
My puter has a 24" (measured diagonally) HD screen. I like to look at pictures I can see.

Speaking of computers, my boss man purchased me a Microsoft Surface Go months back, they are not crazy expensive and I love the damn thing. Haven't had a desktop or laptop for 4 years as I couldn't justify the price. I'd been on an iPad for those years.

The Microsoft go is a PC operating windows 10 and has touch screen, a pen that has countless uses, optional keyboard is a must have. Also has an awesome notes program that'll host pdf, screenshots, photos and drawings/notations with pen.

I also didn't realize how much I was missing out by not having a USB hook up. The Microsoft go has taken my Garmin 64st gps to a different level. I can plug the Garmin in and operate Garmin's free basecamp map system. Use it in conjunction with google maps for all my scouting, waypoints. I feel like an old man who just discovered internet porn.

The Microsoft Surface Go ain't the baddest out there but the value for dollar spent is top notch.

Still use the iPad a lot but when I need to put some real work in on fish/hunt scouting or my actual paying gig I grab the surface go.

Gonna stick with my old ass backwards desktop and my waterproof digital camera.  Main reason is so my old eyes can see the stuff. I'm going along with Doug and Phil on this one.

I seriously doubt anyone over 40 years old finds high pixel counts to be beneficial.
