I needed to get one more trip in before the next rain. Family matters will soak up the rest of 2018, most likely.
Al got me excited to hit the Smiff. Generating replaced by sluicing killed that. Went small.
The rain started before I got there. Stream was pumping. I swear it came up as I fished.
Lots  :o of new trees in the stream and everything was moved around from the big rain events.

38 degrees, a rain that picked up as I fished, and work I had put aside made quick work of this outing.
Should have had the slam. The bows and browns came quick. The lone brookie came unbuttoned as I fumbled the net.

Rain accumulation records being broke everywhere in SE.  I know the brookies benefited from it over summer and fall, but I'm sure they are even ready for it to slow down.
