A friend took this picture while hiking in lost cove, near Wilson Creek, this past weekend.  Pretty interesting.  Looks like a hatchery Brown.

This carnage played out right in front of me on the Smith River back in August 2012.  I had no idea Northern water snakes were such hungry critters.  That's a mouthful of brown trout!

Seen a sizable water snake snack on a 12" catfish a few years ago. Impressive.
