Big Black is seen by several of the people that live in the valley close to Iron Mtn, A fairly regular sight during the rest of the year, but he is never seen during hunting season .  I do not have a game cam , but wish I did at times. The small bear that comes around my place is about 125 lbs and runs away when it sees me. The worst bears that we have are the ones that TWRA traps in Gatlingberg and brings to Holston Mountain. These problem bears are used to people and trash cans.  I am sure that TWRA brings them here because Carter county has a ton of bear hunters in it and most of them will be killed during the fall hunt.
As to dangerous bears -- I would consider the bear that Killed Tom Sharpe's goat and donkey to be dangerous. It is damn big and may consider taking a human as it gets older and cannot run well. That bear lives about 3 miles inside the No Kill zone (Sanctuary). Tom has a kill tag ,but has not been able to take the bear yet.

Big J

Anyone think they could be covering more ground looking for fawns?

Big J- so you think these bears might be "fawnophiles "?
