The third creek in this area's installment. The main squeeze. This flow turned out to be much larger and much more difficult to traverse than I had imagined.

Jumping from the creek to a trail and back and forth is all one can do here as there is just too much water pouring from the mountain. Super large boulders were scattered about like house-sized building blocks. A truly beautiful area from a scenery standpoint. Everything is different at 5,000'. Trees still bare. A light rain peppered me off and on throughout my trip.

One more creek in this vicinity and I'm done. At that point I will have covered all the productive/sizable water here that interests me.

A junco welcoming my early morning arrival. A rather steep hike in and out.

There's no telling how deep some of these pools are. Massive in size.

Started catching rainbows. Then brookies mixed in. Overall more 'bows.

I threw some larger streamers in these deep pools with no luck. Nothing ventured nothing gained. A large waterfall here.

It's a pity this stream doesn't fish as good as it looks.  All the bows I caught there years ago were rather small.

Those rainbows are quite purdy.

My thoughts as well. Maybe going up higher would be somewhat different but I have my doubts.
