Been tying some articulated Boogie Man streamers for the swap. With two hooks, these would be technically illegal for national park and NC wild trout waters. Anybody ever talked to a warden about this, or got spanked for fishing with one? Or is it one of those things they kind of let slide?

It is okay for wild trout waters (the second articulated hook counts as a dropper), but not gsmnp.

It gives me the heebiejeebies to cut the business end off of a fiddycent Gamakatsu hook.  :o Might tie some up on some of those fishskull front shanks for chunkin' at Leroy in the park.

Good to know. GSMNP allows dropper flies, too, but maybe they interpret it differently. I wonder about DH stogger waters?

GSMNP requires a certain distance between droppers. Ask somebody who fishes there more frequent then I because I have no idea.

I can tie the front on shanks and put a stinger hook on mine if you want me to.

Let me know.

Those fishskulls ain't cheap either. Wait until you hang a couple in deep current. You'll break ya neck trying to retrieve them sumbitches. Trust me, I know.

Nah, I do a lot of fishing off the park and WT waters anyway. That's where Leroy usually lives. And the smallmouth.
