I just got into DrakeCast  V:; V:; V:; V:;
and I've enjoyed the four episodes that I've heard. Will keep this one on the playlist.

I've heard of and seen mention of the Barely Live Sessions a A kinda fly fishing podcast from the boys down in Charleston.

QuoteThe most ridiculous 2 hours of fly fishing podcasting out there. We just try to have a good time and talk about all the things most people would after a good day or bad day of fishing.with a cold beverage in hand. Anchored by Paul Puckett, Will Abbott, Michael Benson and Doug Roland...there is not telling what may happen or who may come by. Sit down and soak it in.

I've not been able to listen to a whole show, and wonder how they have 38 episodes in the library.

Y'all got any other favorites?

ex - I'm not going to live with you through one more fishing season!
me -There's a season?

Pastor explains icons to my son: you know like the fish symbol on the back of cars.
My son: My dad has two fish on his car and they're both trout!

"Other" or any?  No to both.

When I want to listen to bullshit, I talk to myself.

Podcast pro-tip, listen to them on 1.2x or 1.3x speed to get through them a little faster.

The 50 Best Podcast of 2017

This year, podcasts got funnier, sharper, and even more niche. Our recommendations here pass a vigorous audio smell test. First, the arrival of a new podcast episode must send you into an ethical quandary: How do I get out of at least some of my obligations today to listen to this? Second, you must be able to recommend this to a colleague with the knowledge that your reputation is at stake. A podcast that teaches you how to prepare your taxes by hand might blow your hair back, but it's doubtful you'll recommend it to anyone aside from your accountant. Third, we recused ourselves from ranking any podcasts produced by The Atlantic, including Radio Atlantic and The Atlantic Interview. Finally, the podcast world, like any other sphere, is about what have you done for me lately. The best shows don't paint themselves into a corner. They evolve and progress or risk their listeners hitting "unsubscribe." Podcasts, like cowboys, shouldn't get fenced in. These shows generated maximum buzz, kept us refreshing our apps, broke boundaries, and made our future selves romanticize the golden years of podcasting.

I must ask.  Why would anyone listen to April Vokey without a continuous photo stream of her?    It is sort of like listening to the audio of The Opening of Misty Beethoven (1976), probably the best porn film of all time, without the moist, rolling, tumbling, pink images.  Is it not?

Help an old clueless man out; please explain.

I thought the same,  then I listened to this: http://www.themeateater.com/podcasts/ep-078-fishing-for-a-living/  she's got a pretty cool story.

Slate is currently doing a good one on watergate.  It's def an indirect political statement on our current affairs.
This American Life is almost always interesting.
More Perfect is good if you're into supreme court politics.
Radiolab usually covers some esoteric topics.
Fresh Air is consistently good.

Rinella kind of gets on my nerves.  I listened to the Gierach one and felt like he asked some dumb questions like he was super high or something.  Maybe he was.
