Bobby Whitlock, the songwriter and musician who co-founded Derek and the Dominos alongside Eric Clapton, died on Sunday at the age of 77.

Carole Kaye, Whitlock's manager, said the rocker died "after a brief illness" at his home in Texas, according to a statement provided to outlets including Variety and ABC Audio.

I'm watching Jeremiah Johnson today on a continuous loop.  Truth be known, I've choked up multiple times.

Recalling the early 70s when I went to view JJ, ALONE, at the theater in Clifton Forge --- most enjoyable movie experience in my 68 years.

Robert Redford, an actor whose beach-god looks and subtle magnetism in films such as "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" and "All the President's Men" made him one of the biggest movie stars of all time, but who forged an even more profound legacy in cinema as a patron saint of American independent film, died Sept. 16 at his home in the mountains outside Provo, Utah. He was 89.

His death was announced in a statement by publicist Cindi Berger, who did not cite a cause.

Diane Keaton, a Star of 'Annie Hall' and 'First Wives Club,' Dies at 79

She brought an unconventional personality to scores of roles on television and in movies ranging from zany comedies like "Sleeper" to piercing dramas like "The Godfather."

Diane Keaton, the vibrant, sometimes unconventional, always charmingly self-deprecating actress who won an Oscar for Woody Allen's comedy "Annie Hall" and appeared in some 100 movie and television roles, an almost equal balance of them in comedies like "Sleeper" and "The First Wives Club" and dramas like "The Godfather" and "Marvin's Room," has died. She was 79.

Her death was confirmed by Dori Rath, who produced a number of Ms. Keaton's most recent films. She did not say where or when Ms. Keaton died or cite a cause.

Ms. Keaton was 31 and a veteran of eight films, most of them comedies, when she starred as the title character in "Annie Hall" (1977), a single woman in New York City with ambitions, insecurities and definite style. Annie is known for cheerful psychiatric breakthroughs, fashions that look like men's wear, questionable driving skills and lingering hints of an all-too-wholesome Midwestern upbringing.

The Mavericks lead singer Raul Malo dead at 60 after cancer battle

Raul Malo, whose operatic, lush lead vocals led the eclectic musical group The Mavericks, died Monday (Dec. at age 60 following a battle with cancer.

"At 8:52 pm on December 8th, 2025, my love... our boys' father... a devoted son and brother... and a friend to so many, gained his angel wings," Betty Malo, the musician's wife, wrote in a statement posted on Malo's official Facebook page Tuesday (Dec. 9). "He was called to do another gig - this time in the sky - and he's flying high like an eagle. No one embodied life and love, joy and passion, family, friends, music, and adventure the way our beloved Raul did. Now he will look down on us with all that heaven will allow, lighting the way and reminding us to savor every moment. Dino, Victor, Max and I - along with our entire family - thank all of you for your love and support through all of this. We felt every bit of it.In Raul's own words: 'Muchísimas gracias.'"
