Within 100 miles as the crow flies

2 am Charlie Horse had me jumping out of bed left a pain in the calf muscle, wasn't sure if I needed more abuse today but after the coffee kicked in I found myself headed off in a different direction. Water was up and it was much cooler, so no wet wading today.









Looked good to me so I started off with a dry .



After that I went under realizing that the water was actually up quite a bit and the trout were pretty much glued to the bottom.

























Got in and out before the rain came down, going was slow and I'll wait for the water to recede a bit before I venture back in there again.

Nice little brown trout stream. I saw a lot of salmonfly activity last weekend but the fish weren't tuned in to them yet. I expect that could be changing any day now.
