I have been rereading Gierach's work over the last year. I had read most of them, but not this last one. His last column will be printed in the spring edition of Trout magazine.

Finished 'Walden' this morning!

I liked it.

I guess I enjoyed the last 20 pages more than the rest due to my actual comprehension of what he was saying.

Books like this always make me want to move into the woods and live in cabins away from everyone.

Maybe I will...

If you enjoy Thoreau, and haven't seen it, PBS recently ran the Ken Burns three episode series on Thoreau. It's available on PBS Passport, and likely will re-run on local PBS channels periodically. There are also some snippets available on YouTube.

I just finished Jim Harrison's brown dog series. Really enjoyed B.D.  He is quite the character.

Yep, that was a good book. Funny as hell.

Sort of reminded me of a friend of mine.
