We headed out onto what would be our first vacation with the little dude. This beach trip was like no other.

Stopped around Alamance for drinks and a backseat diaper refresher. Things here were odd.

Several brief rains would pass through. The temps here felt hotter than any I've experienced at the beach, ever. That part sucked. Many restaurants and places of business seemed to have given up on air-conditioning. I was not happy about this.

Beers were killed. Just not by myself.

While digging through luggage I located my trout net. Busted to shit from a fall on a creek some time ago. Repairs will follow.

The shower in this house kicked-ass. Trying to wash salt and sand off of the boy in this was a challenge. Sort of like trying to handle a greased pig.

Early to rise. Excited to surf fish. Got out there and got beat to death. Rough tides. I also went to another locale. I found that place packed with people throwing nets and such. Not my favorite scene. I rolled out. Truly disappointed. No salty fish for the fly rod.

Many miles were put onto the boy's stroller here. The bigger kids enjoyed rides and arcades. We walked. I took in the scenery. The general public is scary. I seen a couple drunks get into it in this area. One of them got knocked out cold. I enjoyed that part.

Ice cream break. He tore that shit up.

This was delish.

He's trying to learn to jump. He actually got his feet completely off the ground here, I think. He was stoked.

Had a blast. Next time I hope to catch a fish.  :banana072: :banana072:

Disclaimer --- No fish were even remotely annoyed in the making of this report.

At least you didn't loose your camera b';

Onslow

10 years from now, you will be spending your Summer vacations at Camp Raven Knob

Dee-Vo

@Jfey  -- I thought about you losing yours while I was out on the surf. I left mine in my pack on the sand. I actually thought I would need it for a fish picture.

@Onslow -- I spent many there myself. Not sure if they'll let me back in after the chaos we brought to that camp. I'll have to produce a false alias.

Big J

I'm disappointed in lack of seafood pictures.

Good shit. That little fish you took with you will be all grown up before you know it, enjoy it now.

@troutfanatic -- I clipped it afterwards. Some thick leader I was attempting to use.

@Big J -- We ate zero seafood. We haven't crossed the bridge of seafood/shellfish allergy yet with the young'un.

I blame jfey for this terrible trend that is developing in the salt section

Dee-Vo

I was going to blame him, but then decided I probably just suck at that type of fishing thus far. I'm still salty about the experience.

Git it? Salty........ :P
