Just Some Trout Fishing

 This is the stream that got me hooked on fly fishing as a kid but for some reason have never fished this section before, always either fished the tributaries or down the road where it's bigger. I should have checked this section out years ago.



Started out kinda slow then found this decent cockroach


Then little leroy showed up, Haven't ever caught a lot of browns in this stream down low so was kinda surprised to see them up higher.


The next hour or so was nothing but browns with one hole producing three, got little leroy's dad outta one good spot.




Then the creek turned to nothing but brook trout with this chunky fella near the end.




Found some ten pound test way up in a tree, not sure what they were casting at.


And this poor brookie waiting on some rain.


Lot's of little trouts in between and overall a good warmup for the next trip.

You guys have it bad down there. After last week experience, I'm done on the little streams up here til Fall.

 The water level was really low, checked the temp and it was 62 degrees. If we don't get any rain soon I'll be posting in the warm water section.
