My wife and I planned a trip to Colorado around a two night Greensky Bluegrass show, Friday in Boulder and Saturday at Red Rocks.  Both shows were amazing.

We got into Denver on Thursday, drove to Estes park and planned to explore Rocky Mountain Nat Park a little.

We made a stop on the way.  Very interesting, organized and informative operation.

After a little hiking around we found one of  the endless amounts of small streams

Multiple brookies and browns were caught.  Nothing big but fun catching them

After about an hour my wife reminded me this was not a fishing trip so we decided to hike to a popular alpine lake.  It's high up there.

First lake was nice to look at but devoid of fish.  Looked like it was only a few feet deep.

Next lake was even nicer to look at with the bonus of a healthy population of cutties.

After a few hours that concluded the fishing portion of the trip.  The next few days we spent bouncing around CO acting like we were a lot younger.

The wife and I are adding 3 days to the beginning of a biddness trip for me at the end of August. Estes Park, beer, maybe fish, getting high (altitude) and eating well are on the docket.

Where the hell is the paint and the toe ring?  Not impressed with the ugly foot photo.  The fishing and music however looked like fun.

Good job!

Understood.  We should only be expected to be respectable adults 358 days a year.  Throwing inhibition and caution to the wind far away from home feels so  good 0:0

That kicked ass.
