Between fishing for catching carps, chores and travel for work I hadn't been chasing tail in cold water.
While working a trade show booth in buckeye land I decided that I was fishing as soon as I got home. Somewhere. Anywhere.
We had some heavy scattered thunderstorms the day I drove home, so I went high where it's always fishable afterward.
Another reason for this stream is I knew I'd be alone in the woods and I needed to stretch my legs, too. Hiked down 4.5 miles, fished a whole 1/2 mile and hiked back up. 1200' lost, then gained. Didn't see Leroy for the slam, but all is good.

Caught a decent number, lost a lot more than normal. Maybe I was still carp hook setting?

4.5 miles in and 4 miles out is no easy day.
I've never had a radler.  Any good?

Hmmmmm.  Wonder where you fished?

Too bad you are going to be out of town this weekend.  Going to be fishing a stream you've been dying to get on.  That's all I'm going to say on that matter.

Radler is good. Easy. Made for a hot day.

Good stuff! And it always seems like the best places to catch native trout are also ideal breeding grounds for nettles, doesn't it?
