1/9

Evening flight to Bozeman, Rhody from the west, me from the east, meeting halfway at a friend's house to make the drive to the airport. Best plans went fubar, and instead of a ride to /from the airport we were going to have to leave one in long-term parking, or so we thought. FULL, FULL, FULL, in bright red, all the fucking long term parking was FULL, not much time to figure out off site shuttles, should have planned better, ended up in daily. Damnation, the airport was busy, hot hot hot day in Charlotte and the AC in the terminal couldn't keep pace with the heat and the volume of people! TSA line was long but, expected to take 40 minutes, but all of a sudden the line started moving. They had put a dog in the line and after showing ID and boarding pass, the security agent was saying, keep moving, don't use the bins, leave your shows on, go, go, go! So after passing through the metal detectors, (Found out Later, out boarding passes were tagged TSA PRE!) we still have time for a couple of IPAs before boarding the flight! That cost about $40!!!!

Boarding went smoothly, and we pushed back from the gate on time... but they was a bit of a commotion in the back of the plane and after a while we returned to the gate and TSA came on the plane and escorted some asshole and his buddy off the plane, it appeared as if he wouldn't comply with the flight attendants commands, not exactly sure what.. At the gate we waited and two standbys come aboard and filled their seats. That only took an hour!

More beerz in MNP and a smooth flight into BZN, at the hotel by midnight....

Rhody had a hard on for Henry's Fork, so we hightailed it out of Bozeman with a cooler full on snad stuff and IPAs, stopped in at the Blue Ribbon Fly Shop, great place with no attitude. They laughed at my sign and the clerk needed to take a shot for his instagram. Loaded up with some flies and intel we headed on down the road.

Rhody checkin out the board

There's a long chapter in Gierach's book "the view from rat lake" about the henrys fork seagulls.
Really good stuff so far Woolly.  Don't let off the gas.

Since the 2nd day Idaho license was only $6.00 more we had elected for that option. We were headed to the ranch. Once again, anglers were coming off the water, but we had to see for ourselves.

Getting ready

Was tempted to snap pic of a ravishing Cuban milf (2 kids) in a T back less than an hour ago.  We showered together at the park outdoor shower....not in the biblical sense.

Coffee and breakfast at the Yesterday Café. The Country Skillet is a day's worth of food.

Talked to the owner of the motel, he said to go right off the park downtown. So I took a walk, caddis caddis caddis, and fish rising! Walked back, Willies' Distillery was open and samples were a buck, so I had a few before rounding up the lurker.
