Yeah, quit rain dancin'.  I needed waders in the basement last night.

Our local burger place almost caught on fire last night too..somehow a 20-ton RTU literally blew off the roof curb last night and landed on it's side and crushed the gas line in the pooring rain. It punctured a hole in the roof too while people were eating..thank god the electrical was not exposed.

ODA, sorry to hear about the basement.  On another note, at least you have a basement.  Inlaws have no basement and have it coming in all sides of the house on the main floor.  Talk about serious water issues.

People don't know how to grade/site houses. 
Put a retaining wall in 20' behind that house and regrade.

Older basements, like ODA's?, different can of snuff. Sorry dude.
Maybe a HVAC contractor can find a plumber to install a sump pump?

Well, I'm me. Went down under the bridge at Bisset Park. No water up on the grass this morning, but looked like it had risen pretty high yesterday. No pics.

Maybe the rain dances were too concentrated in Virginia?
My local trout watershed just barely got above its average levels.  Heading back down to piss trickle levels now.

We have two sump pumps and a french drain and we still can't keep water out.  Should be an..interesting weekend.
