Pastor explains icons to my son: you know like the fish symbol on the back of cars.

Prior to 1996, 218,000 cfs was the record set in 1940 at Radford.  I need to do a little research to update my knowledge.

That all being said, the Little River @ Graysonton is at a near record flow.  The record at this site is 22800 set in July 21, 1972

Sit tight for a bit.

Some models are calling for a NC landfall.  If so, NC and VA is fucked as far as more rainfall goes.

Without the tropical storm/hurricane I'm forecast to receive about 7.5" through next Monday.
That's on top of the 12.4" we have already been blessed with in the last 10 days.  :o
Fishing opportunities look like a drive north is necessary.  -0-

Some how we didn't get near the rain in central nc that East and West got.

The lower New tribs and the SH watershed look great.  I may stop by Reed  creek for some bass action on my way home from work.

We got about 2.5 inches in this area.  Check out how fast this small stream went up and down on this water gauge.

We had 89k cfs in 2013 when they thought a couple of the upstream dams may fail.

That second link shows a crest of 16 feet on April 20th of 2015. Anyone recall this? Yesterday it barely made it to 12
