Flathead River near Glacier

Did an overnight on the Flathead.  Beautiful gin clear water in a pristine setting.  Fishing was ok but not great.  Friend who does not fish a lot got a nice bull trout on a dry fly and a pig cut!  Great trip with some smoke

This Middle Fork of the Flathead has peak flow approaching 45000 cfs.  Now it is low and at 580 cfs.  Even using rafts we had to get out and push.  Think it would be about perfect at a couple of thousand or so.

Beautiful country, it's on the list.  Best bull I caught in MT ate a salmon fly dry.
