A little "music" video I made on the way downhill to the stream. Black Keys. WRX.

I was prepared to go solo, but consuminfire had the itch and caught word of my plans. He can ride shotgun any day.  y;
Back to a steady producer. We were not going to try to kill ourselves, so some running and gunning on the lower gradients was the plan.
More bows than brooks down there, but a better chance for Leroy, too.
Started nymphing at 8:30.

We were hooking up. But crap! We were losing about half the fish right before landing. Those frigging bows were going ballistic.
Scott switched to a dry after 15 or so fish. I stayed bottom bouncing. He already had 4 or 5 brookies and was looking for the slam.
I had all bows.
Had.  -+;

I switched to a dry because he was picking up some good fish. Scott had caught a stocker bow earlier. This is miles above stocked water. Then I latched into one about 14" long. Fought like a sock, but came unbuttoned right before landing. Swam back into the same run. I cast back in and it chased the fly. We looked at each other, WTF? I dried the fly, cast it back in and bam, it hit it again. Sore mouth dude was starving to death? Got the ugly mofo in the net this time. He'll be racoon bait soon, as fukked up as his fins were.

We ended up with about 25 each. Should have been 40-50.
I got the slam. Plenty satisfied and home by 4.

Pastor explains icons to my son: you know like the fish symbol on the back of cars.

My son: My dad has two fish on his car and they're both trout!

Native Fisher

Nice section of road.  That thing running good now.

A fish-eye lens for the vid cam woulda made that downhill trip look downright skeery.

App slams for errbudday it seems -+;

Solid stuff my dude, beautiful fish

Listen up, maggots. You are not special. You are not a beautiful or unique snowflake. You're the same decaying organic matter as everything else.

Dougfish

Ben, Dude,
that was a rock cabin! Superb.  'c;

As for the stocker size, my homie has not weighed in.  >:D
I have nothing for evidence.
But who the fuck cares, I should have dirt napped that fish.

And yes Bubba, the 210K machine runs like a scalded dog. With a lot of new/re-machined parts and labor. And $$$$$$.
That bitch owes me.
