Doug was nice enough to drive up for the day.   We tried some big water but failed miserably.  After about an hour, Doug pointed out a big otter slide and suggested that was the root of our problems.  We moved on to some smaller water higher up in the county.

I watched the master go to work with his glass rod and cranky old reel....

It was great to see Doug and fish some new water.   Great medicine for the "spring break" trip to DC earlier in the week.

Did Doug catch any of these?  He looks like a peacock fu*king a rainbow in that costume!

Good job guys!

Doug, you need a proper pack with more room for beer, and a net lanyard.

Muddy + Technology = Dougfish

Poor Doug, what a dichotomy, fishing with that great rod and reel, and wearing crap!  His attire reminds me of many play-on-colors.  I bet if we put a match to him, he'd color up like a campfire with those chemical packs.

I've never enjoyed anything more than watching old doug try to sling a 6" articulated feather bomb with one of his antiquated wet noodle glass sticks...he got his shit in check real quick and  slimed up soon after

I'm glad Doug took you there and not one of the many feeders that fish better. Seriously though, there are some big fish in that stretch, just pretty tough to get. That stretch gets a lot of pressure. Glad to see you hitting a brookie stream.

Fudging haters!  n!n n!n n!n

It was good to see Beetle Friday. Fishing with a buddy is a great way to finish a week.
I did not catch many fish, except for the last run (5 fish in a few minutes).
And got zero fish pics from this stream. Timing sucked. Wiggly little bastards. Did not use the net. Etc. Had a blast though.
My boy will be back on this stream.  -0-

Muddy would make a good Brit with his proper definitions of how to fish.

Yup, going fishing

Listen, you Union spume, no one directed anyone on "how" to fish!  My inference was bright, whorey hues might kill the character of the adventure.  Ask Big J., he'll tell you God made the early spring Appalachian woods in shades of brown, and then bombarded it with greens, making it easy on his children's eyes.  Science obviously has a better explanation, but J. never had a real science course.  The point is there is no point to my BS, other than it is hard to fathom why an angler would dress like a clown fish.

Beetle looked ok.

Peace, peckerwoods!    I enjoyed the trip report.

Doug, you & I can fish together this weekend.  I don't give or take style points.

Good report gents.
