Been working on putting up a wainscoting in the nursery all weekend and prepping the room for painting for next weekend.  Straightforward work, but tedious getting the outlet holes and vents cut out properly.

After I finished up the room I hit a close to brookie stream with Doug.  Much needed time on the trout stream.  It feels good to fish for a fish that actually eats a fly every once in a while.  Plus I got to mess around with the new camera.

Looks like those bugs are not in their final instar yet.  The hatches could be a little later this year.
I was born by the river in a little tent, And just like the river I've been running ever since, It's been a long, long time coming, But I know change is gonna come.

Look brother, don't start a combo TR with me and use BTO. A.) I hate them, they suck, they are melodious as fuck, they play guitar chopsticks, and I think they're Canadians. B.) 1973 was a world of radio (and 8 track). And they drilled that shit into our head, over, and over, and over, and over again.
I'm pretty sure a Boston song would trigger an urge to kill. Again.

Anyhoo, it was good to trout fish with my little buddy again. It had been........fuck, we couldn't remember!?
The bite was light, the big boys did not want to play, and we worked for the fish we caught.
But by golly, the fish in these drainages are colored up like it's the spawn, 365.

This.  ODA will have to get over his not wanting to fish with me though.

Grannyknot

First decent trout report in a long time.   'c;

I'm jealous. You guys are much farther along with Spring than we are. Nice fishing and stuff!

We do have that. Crawfish frogs have sung me to sleep the last two nights. We have yet to reach 70 degrees though which I saw someone post. It's cloudy and 50 today but feels like freezing. I'm ready for sunshine. Also, no flowers here, although the buttercups have started to come up.
