No doubt that a Tenkara would make a good gill rod when they are 4-8 feet deep.  Small float,small shot and a cricket and you could Tenkara their ass for sure

Anybody fishing this weekend sucks. I was planning to go but it got interrupted by stupidity on somebody else's part.

I am taking a 5-day weekend next weekend though and plan to fish at least 3 of those.

I hit a little stream today. Clear skies, lots of walking, nice day.
Found a pocket of some risers and was very surprised. Took 5 fly changes before I figured out what they were keying in on.
Managed a few, with one larger fish for that stream. A good 14-15 inches.

All in all a good day.
