Pops got a shot of this dude.... Painted Bunting? looks like a Macaw took sexual liberties with a chickadee, just add hook would make one hell of a bass bug

Wow.  Beautiful.  Is he off course?  Where does your dad live?

Wow I have never seen one of those except in magazines and bird id books.  Nice capture.

That is a Wowser! bird. I've never seen one in person, either.
I saw Indigo Buntings in WV, and consumingfire and I saw a Scarlet Tanager this spring.
They're vivid, but that dude is bizarre.

Parents live in mooresville. From what I read this guy should be in Mexico right now, we had feeders all my life never seen one

I saw no birds on my feeder at any point in time since Wednesday evening.  They were out in full force Wednesday afternoon before it all started, then they just hunkered down I guess.

My street yesterday morning...this hill is a real challenge going up or down when it is icy.

Walked around the neighborhood yesterday before dark, caught the moon rise too.

Thanks!  Just had my fishing camera with me so I didn't have many options for a better shot.  I took about a dozen and that one turned out the best.

That moon shot is awesome Ben!

Our kids had so much fun playing in the snow, they didn't even care the dog died.

Dang it....saw the neighborhood Hawk yesterday on our big oak tree.
Tried to get a good shot of him with the DSLR...wrong lens.
Pulled out the 200mm zoom, when it clicked into place he took off.  b';
