TU / Orvis and the like are where the money is and that is what drives the train. Bitching, failing to offer alternatives and more importantly offering to take a lead on your own suggestions does not change a thing.

I've been involved with TU for a number of years and many local chapters are on life support because most folks would rather ride in the wagon then offer to help pull it. In the case of TU and other like minded conservation organizations - What have you done to help them or steer them in a direction you'd like to see them take other then bitch or maybe pay national dues?

We can use the analogy that is sometimes used for government elections - you shouldn't bitch and expect to be taken seriously if you don't vote, attend local meetings, help in someones campaign and perhaps even run for office yourself. Same can be said for TU and like organizations.
