2014 Warmwater

Got into the white bass on the Eno today.  Caught 4 took pictures of the first 2.  Also caught a small largemouth bass.

It is also a good time to nail some pre spawn Roanokes up the river a bit, and on the Tar.  Good to see some clear water this time of year in the flat country.

Spent most opf the morning yesterday spraying the small lillies in the first photo....I think they're called primrose??  Anyway ...then spent about 2-3 hrs throwing flies with only a few smaller ones playing. I was hoping to float for smallies....but the asswipes that control the release apparently know when I want to fish!           Maybe next wknd.

I hate saying no when fishing is involved.  I had to say it three times this weekend and I was grumpy( according to my wife).  The only chance to get out was the last hour of daylight on Sunday.   I grabbed a Fenwick and a Pflueger and headed to the nearest pond.   Caught a few and went home happy
