Left the house in the fog and got to the turn off in that same gray stuff.

[attach=1]

Got to the water and it was looking pretty feeshy!

[attach=2]

Managed to land one of the locals before the generation.

And another afterward.

[attach=4]
(Not sure who's thumb that is)

On the walk back I came across this

[attach=5]

I don't know about the rest of you, but I have hiked MANY different pieces of land in my time and on several different continents but I have NEVER come across a wild specimen such as this. But that ends today!!
[attach=6]
My first EVER pliers in the wild!!! And a p. duckus billus at that!!

I also came across a hook worm, some mating millipedes and a few butterflies.

All in all, the trip was a nice one even though I missed the set on a couple browns and had several chases that ended too quickly. Couple that with an LDR  or two and that was my day!!

Can't wait to do it again!!

Indian Pipe. Not that rare, just easily overlooked.

Yup, there is quite a bit of it popping up on the woods along the soho this year.

Nice you got out on the river.
ex - I'm not going to live with you through one more fishing season!
me -There's a season?

Pastor explains icons to my son: you know like the fish symbol on the back of cars.
My son: My dad has two fish on his car and they're both trout!

Send me a PM when you come down. Now that they are not screwing with the schedule, wading is getting easier as long as the rain holds off for awhile!! Of course, you can always bring the bath tub if you want to float!!

That's where the fish were jumpin. There was a set of riffles (a smallish set) just to photo right/upstream. But that could explain the two fish issue.

Nice tunes.

What he said. One of my favorites actually.

WP is quickly turning into my go to trip music. This is one of my favorites of theirs as well.
